Vulture Black Socks

Socks with a pattern inspired by the black vulture, seeking to raise awareness of the fantastic fauna that inhabits our country (Portugal and the rest of the Iberian Peninsula) and highlighting the fact that this species is protected and endangered.

The black vulture is a large, scavenging bird of prey. It occurs in a long range along the mid-latitudes of the Palearctic, from the Iberian Peninsula in the west, through the Balkans and Turkey, across the Caucasus, Iran, Afghanistan to southern Siberia, Mongolia and northern China.
In Portugal, the population has been extinct as a breeder since the early 1970s, but the number of sightings has been increasing since the 1990s, with some nesting attempts recorded in national territory, without success until 2015 (the year in which the first chick was born in 70 years).

These socks are made in Portugal and are seamless for greater comfort.

Composition: 80% combed cotton; 17% Polyamide; 3% Elastane
