“Bailarina” Sardine by Bordallo Pinheiro

A “Dancing Sardine” joins the collection because, for Sofia, the ballerina evokes both the movement and fluidity of the fish and the water. The curves and textures of these elements thus inspired the artist to draw a little girl dancing with a trail of silvery scales.

Each sardine comes in individual packaging designed to look like newspaper, which also contains a list of the complete collection and a short history of each of the sardines in the collection.
