And the stanzas that Cam&#xF5;es dedicates to him in Canto III of Os Lus&#xED;adas, of classicist inspiration, perhaps reach the highest point of poetic literature on this tragic and supreme romance. But this edition also includes two other remarkable pieces: Bocage's Cantata &#xE0; Morte de In&#xEA;s de Castro, and the beautiful Soneto dos T&#xFA;mulos by the poet who sang In&#xEA;s the most in the 20th century: Afonso Lopes Vieira. The tombs, sumptuously sculpted, are said to have been placed face to face in the transept of the Monastery of Alcoba&#xE7;a by Dom Pedro's design: eye to eye, this is how they will meet on the day of their ascension to a new life.
