This sardine plunged into Bordallo’s dream and, to this day, continues to navigate unknown paths. Comprising illustrations arranged chronologically, this Sardine celebrates the beginning of its journey in 1884, with the “FF” mark and historical references, such as the first factory facilities and the respective title of the foundation, swimming towards crucial points, such as the Exposition Universelle de Paris or the emblematic “Beethoven Jar.” In its dream, it encounters characters and collections that are still part of Portuguese iconography today.”
By Manuel Bandeira Duarte
